Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Precision Hayward Concrete website and any estimate or work you ask us for. By using the site or booking a job with us, you agree to them, so if you don't agree, please don't use the site.
If you sign a contract with us for a specific job, that contract controls where it differs from these terms.
What we do
Precision Hayward Concrete is a concrete contractor in Hayward, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, foundations, retaining walls and other concrete work in Hayward and the cities around it. Our services are listed on the home page.
The pages on this site describe our work in general terms so you know what to expect. They don't promise that a particular job can be done a particular way, because that depends on what our crew finds at your house. You can read more about us on our About page. We're fully licensed and insured.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free on site and come with no obligation. We give them after seeing the job, because the ground, access for the truck, drainage and the finish you choose all affect the price.
An estimate is our price for the work it describes, based on what we can see before we start. We may find something once the old slab is out or the ground is open, such as soft subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, or buried roots or pipes. If that happens, we'll stop, show you what we found and give you the added cost in writing before we go on.
If a job needs a permit, the written estimate will say who arranges it.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We set a start date with you once you accept the estimate. Rain or high heat on pour day can ruin a surface, so we may move a pour to protect the job. If we do, we'll tell you as soon as we know.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (510) 333-4444 as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered material or the concrete is on its way, you may owe for those costs, as your contract will spell out. Any cancellation rights the law gives you still apply.
Payment
Your contract sets out the payment schedule, any deposit and the accepted payment methods before work starts. Payment is due on the dates the contract sets, and any change to the work or the price is agreed in writing first.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled and charge any late fees the contract allows.
Warranties and what concrete does over time
Satisfaction guaranteed on every job. If something about our work doesn't look right to you, call us and we'll come out and look at it.
Any written warranty on a job is the one in your contract, and it covers only what that document says. Concrete shrinks as it cures and moves with the ground, so we cut control joints, which are grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack. Fine hairline cracks are normal in concrete and usually aren't a defect.
We aren't responsible for damage caused by things outside our work. That includes loads heavier than the slab was built for, tree roots that grow in after the job, drainage changes made by others, and use of the slab during curing, which is the waiting period while it gains strength.
The information on this website is general and is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limits on our liability
To the extent California law allows, Precision Hayward Concrete isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of this website or from our work. Our total liability on any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't let us limit.
We try to keep this site accurate and available. We aren't responsible for mistakes on it, for times it's down, or for the content of other websites we link to.
Settling a disagreement
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us first, because most issues can be sorted out on site. If we can't settle it that way, we'll both make a good-faith effort to resolve it before anyone goes to court. Either of us can still use small claims court where it applies.
Which law applies
These terms, and any work we do, are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any court case will be heard in the courts serving Alameda County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the one that applies when you use the site. Changes don't affect a contract you've already signed with us.
